I just read an article in one of the magazines that listed 40 must-have things. I am not sure I agree on all 40. The list included pets, GPS, and other personal-choice things. Those things with which I agree are already included here. They were here before I read the article. So I think my list is good. I was thinking of coloring must-haves but I think you can figure them out. If not before you leave, shortly after. You really do need to count on multiple stops at the Wal-Marts.
The first list contains supplies that you should always have in stock. A supply is something that you have that you use and need to buy more.
The second list contains equipment that you need. Equipment is anything that you need only replace when they break or are lost.
These lists are to make sure you have not forgotten anything. I expect you have the normal household collection of clothes and kitchen equipment.
I have another page with descriptions of some of the items: Supplies and Equipment.
As much as I have attempted to make this list compile, there are
multiple issues here. I created the list in 2004. A few
items should added and dropped as our world has changed in 2010.
This is a list. It is not prioritized. Some items are more
critical than others. For example, a cell phone with
charger and ample minutes is a requirement and not an option.
Some items are needed for full time and not for part time. For
example, Car wash and wax. In 6 years no one has sent me any
suggestions. My political opinions may not be liked by rich,
Republican RVers but there is no reason to throw the baby out with the
bath water.
